ABOUT THE MONDAY CLUB (themondayclub.band)

Early in the summer of 2023, Nathan Berry (Miss Myra and the Moonshiners) returned from a long winter in New Orleans. To scratch the itch he began hosting semi-weekly traditional jazz sessions at his home in Minneapolis. From these sessions The Monday Club was born! The new six-piece outfit features the polyphony and virtuosity of a classic three-horn frontline. Led by Nathan on cornet, the backbone of a thumping parade infused rhythm section, they play a repertoire centered on the work of early 20th century New Orleans giants and beyond. We're talkin' Jelly Roll Morton, George Lewis, Kid Ory, Sidney Bechet, Papa Celestin, Sam Morgan, Jabbo Smith, and more.
