Curator + Barista

Are you looking for a creative job that combines your passion and knowledge of the arts with a knack for hospitality and ability to create a welcoming environment? Little Theatre Auditorium has an immediate opening for an Arts Curator/Barista.

As a Part-time Arts Curator/Barista, you'll select and curate, install and sell artwork displayed at Little Theatre Auditorium. You'll serve espresso drinks during open hours, be responsible for opening and closing, cleaning and restocking the coffee bar and seating area.

Status: Part-time (22 hours/week)  

Fine Arts Curator/Barista

$10/hour + art commissions + tips.

Duties include:

• Curate in house exhibitions including research, design, installation, and deinstallation 

• Work with the Executive Director to determine exhibition calendar

• Work with Communications to promote exhibitions and espresso

• Manage the espresso bar during the assigned days (hours open: Sunday to Wednesday, 10a to 3p). This includes setup, serving coffee drinks, answering customers questions on menu and artwork, etc.

Requirements/Skills needed:

• Great interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

• Strong passion for the fine arts

• Ability to work as a team with employees, board members and volunteers, as well as work independently 

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills

• Barista experience is preferred, but we’re willing to train
